A typical set of Sticks is made up of five long sticks traditionally made from rattan. Rattan is said to have special healing energy.
Two long sticks have an egg-shaped wooden ball on one end; two others with a bag of medicinal herbs. The last long is a simple rattan stick.
The Sticks are made with Leonty rattan rods (Koobo Lunty).
The first type of pouch is made with a tightly woven cotton canvas filled with medicinal herbs: wild garlic, anise, ginger, nutmeg in equal amounts and powdered.
The second type of pouch, made in the same way, is filled with uncrushed black and white mustard seeds.
A red bead wraps around the pouch around the curved tip of the rattan stick – 51% lambswool and 49% acrylic for strength.
